...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM EDT THURSDAY FOR GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA... The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon to 8 PM EDT Thursday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Volusia, Lake, Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Brevard. * WIND...Southwest around 15 mph with gusts to around 25 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 27 to 35 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. &&
