* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southeastern Manatee County in west central Florida...
Sarasota County in west central Florida...

* WHEN...Until 100 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1057 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Venice, Myakka River State Park, Lake Sarasota, Gator Creek
Estate, Hidden River, Bee Ridge, Oscar Scherer State Park, Vamo,
Osprey, Laurel, Nokomis, Venice Gardens and South Venice.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHERE...West central and southwest Florida.

* WHEN...For the Rip Current Risk, through Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
