At 1007 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles east of De Funiak Springs to near Santa Rosa Beach, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Panama City Beach, Vernon, Santa Rosa Beach, Bonifay, De Funiak Springs, Eglin Air Force Base, Live Oak, Freeport, Ponce De Leon, Caryville, Westville, Ebro, Whitehead Crossroads, Gulf Resort Beach, Gritney, West Panama City, Blue Mountain Beach, Seaside, Bahama Beach, and Rock Hill. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected from today through Friday. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are expected with locally higher amounts likely. Reasonable high- end totals of 7 to 10 inches are possible.
