Winds turn to the northwest behind a strong cold front this afternoon. There may be a lull in the strongest wind gusts late this morning before the cold front passes through the region. Wind gusts in the wake of the front up to 50 MPH are possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Delaware and central and southern New Jersey. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. ...GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Southerly winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt this morning, abruptly shifting westerly by the early afternoon and seas 7 to 12 ft expected. * WHERE...Coastal waters from Great Egg Inlet to Cape May NJ out 20 nm, Coastal waters from Cape May NJ to Cape Henlopen DE out 20 nm and Coastal waters from Cape Henlopen to Fenwick Island DE out 20 nm. * WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There may be a lull in the strongest winds around midday just before the cold front passes through the waters. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
