...A GUST FRONT OVER THE WATERS... The areas affected include... Eastern Long Island Sound... Peconic and Gardiners Bays... At 1008 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a gust front, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. This gust front was located near Great Peconic Bay, moving northeast at 20 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and potential lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. &&
