...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE... * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Connecticut River at Hartford. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Flooding is expected along the river in portions of Wethersfield, Glastonbury, Rocky Hill and Cromwell. The high waters and swift flows will disrupt some cross river ferry services. Upstream of Hartford, flooding will continue to affect portions of Windsor. Immediate river roads may become impassable in all of these communities. Further downstream flooding will continue to overspread sections of Portland, Middletown as well as Chester. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 15.8 feet. - Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening and continue rising to a crest of 19.8 feet early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood &&

Flooding impacts the Middletown Marina and Meadow Farms. In Cromwell, portions of River Road will be closed. In Rocky Hill, parts of Meadow Road will be impassable for a time. Flooding continues along the river southward through Essex. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:55 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 6.6 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to flood stage just after midnight tonightlate tonight. It will then fall to 6.9 feet late tomorrow morning. It will rise above flood stage again late tomorrow morning to 8.7 feet Monday evening. It will then fall late Monday evening.
