At 133 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots, lightning strikes, and small hail. This thunderstorm was located near Upper New York Harbor, moving northeast at 25 knots. The strong thunderstorm will be near... Eastchester Bay around 140 PM EDT. Little Neck Bay and Saddle Rock around 145 PM EDT. Baxter Estates, Manhasset Bay, and Execution Rocks around 150 PM EDT. Hempstead Harbor around 155 PM EDT. Mamaroneck Harbor around 200 PM EDT. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. This strong thunderstorm will likely produce winds to around 30 knots, and could pose a serious hazard for boaters.
