...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches in the valleys. For the mountains, 4 to 8 inches of additional snowfall with localized higher amounts up 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph over the mountain passes. * WHERE...North Park, Grand and Summit Counties Below 9000 Feet, Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range, and The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian Peaks. * WHEN...Until 11 PM MST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Snow and blowing snow will reduce visibility to a quarter mile or less, with potential for sudden snow squalls to bring quick intense bursts of snow, rapidly reduced visibility, and treacherous travel conditions. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Roads will be slick resulting in slow and hazardous travel. Allow extra time to reach your destination. If traveling to the mountains, be prepared for winter driving conditions.
