...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN WILL IMPACT PUEBLO THROUGH 730 PM MDT... At 700 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorms producing heavy rain over southwestern Pueblo, moving east at 20 mph. THis area received heavy rain yesterday. This storm is not expected to be as strong as yesterdays downpour, but since the ground is saturated, ponding of water is likely in spots, especially across the south part of town. HAZARD...Brief period of heavy rain and wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Ponding of water is likely, especially over the south part of town due to saturated soil conditions. Locations impacted include... Pueblo, Pueblo Airport, Salt Creek, and Blende.
