* THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR THE FRONT RANGE
FOOTHILLS.

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 215 and 216.

* TIMING...From 5 AM Friday to midnight MST Friday night.

* WINDS...West 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 85-105 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for extremely rapid
fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may
produce a spark and start a wildfire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a Particularly Dangerous Situation that poses a
significant threat to life and property in the event of a
wildfire start. Residents are urged to assemble an emergency
supply kit and know their evacuation routes. In some cases, safe
and timely evacuation may not be possible should a fire approach.
Have multiple ways to receive instructions from emergency
services, and evacuate if ordered to or if a fire threatens.

* WHERE...Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range,
The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian
Peaks, The Northern Front Range Foothills, and The Southern Front
Range Foothills.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 8 PM MST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines, with
power outages possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for
high profile vehicles. Strong winds may lead to rapid fire growth
of any new fire in the foothills.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.
