...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 8 PM MDT SUNDAY FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR SOUTH PARK, THE SOUTHERN FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS, PALMER DIVIDE INTO EAST CENTRAL COLORADO, AND EASTERN LARIMER AND NORTHWEST WELD COUNTIES... ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR SOUTH PARK, THE SOUTHERN FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS, PALMER DIVIDE INTO EAST CENTRAL COLORADO, AND EASTERN LARIMER AND NORTHERN WELD COUNTIES... The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from noon to 8 PM MDT Sunday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued from late Monday morning through Monday evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 214, 216, 238, 241, 246 and 247. * TIMING...For the Red Flag Warning, from noon to 8 PM MDT Sunday. For the Fire Weather Watch, from late Monday morning through Monday evening. * WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts around 30 mph. Gusts up to 35 mph in Park and southern Jefferson Counties. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly.
