...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 10 PM MDT THIS
EVENING...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and east central Colorado, including
the following areas; the southern Front Range Foothills, Palmer
Divide area, and portions of the northeast and east central plains
including Elbert, Lincoln, eastern Adams and Arapahoe, Washington,
Morgan, Logan, and northeastern Weld Counties.

* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 10 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms with heavy rain, combined with recent rainfall and
saturated soils in some locations, will bring a threat of flash
flooding this afternoon and evening. Stronger storms will be
capable of producing 1 to 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes, with
local storm totals as high as 3 inches.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

Turn around, don't drown if you encounter flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
