...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM MST /6 PM CST/ THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 PM MST /6 PM CST/ THURSDAY... * WHAT...Northwest winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Colorado, northwest and west central Kansas, and southwest Nebraska. * WHEN...From 5 PM MST /6 PM CST/ this afternoon to 5 PM MST /6 PM CST/ Thursday. * IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property and cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Plumes of blowing dust will create pockets of low visibility. Visibilities will likely change rapidly over short distances, making travel hazardous in these areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Two rounds of strong winds are forecast. The first is Wednesday evening as a front passes, the second is shortly after sunrise Thursday morning. Do not lower your guard due to the brief lull in the winds!
