...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northeastern Douglas County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 500 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 329 PM MDT, Local law enforcement reported flooding in the Meridian neighborhood near C-470 and I-25 due to thunderstorms. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. Additional flooding will remain a threat. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Northwestern Castle Rock, Parker, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, The Pinery and Sedalia. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage areas and other low lying spots. &&

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flash Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of central and northeast Colorado, including the following areas: the southern Front Range Foothills, Palmer Divide area, I-25 corridor, and all of our eastern plains counties. * WHEN...Until 10 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional thunderstorms and heavy rainfall this afternoon, combined with the heavy rainfall from the past 3 days, will bring a threat for flash flooding this afternoon and evening. Stronger storms will be capable of producing 1 to 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes, with isolated areas receiving storm totals of 2 to 4 inches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. &&
