* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Colorado, including
the following counties, in northwest Colorado, Garfield. In west
central Colorado, Mesa.

* WHEN...Until 715 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 414 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Battlement Mesa.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...High temperatures of 100 to 107 and warm night time lows
will bring little relief.

* WHERE...In Colorado, Lower Yampa River Basin and Grand Valley. In
Utah, Arches/Grand Flat, Eastern Uinta Basin, Canyonlands/Natural
Bridges, and Southeast Utah.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
