...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM FRIDAY TO MIDNIGHT MST FRIDAY NIGHT FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE FRONT RANGE FOOTHILLS... The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 5 AM Friday to midnight MST Friday night. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 215 and 216. * TIMING...From 5 AM Friday to midnight MST Friday night. * WINDS...West 35 to 50 mph with gusts of 80-100 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 percent. * IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread. Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a fast moving wildfire. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior. &&
