...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall over Bijou Creek is expected. * WHERE...Northern Elbert County in east central Colorado... Central Adams County in northeastern Colorado... Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado... Southwestern Morgan County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 900 PM MDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding along Bijou Creek. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 858 PM MDT, Up to five inches of heavy rainfall fell on Friday evening. Elevated creek waters are expected to cause minor flooding along Bijou Creek over the next 15 to 18 hours as the water makes its way north to the South Platte River. - This includes the following streams and drainages... West Bijou Creek and Bijou Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hoyt and Byers. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. &&

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM MDT SATURDAY... * WHAT...Flooding due to excessive rainfall will persist over the next several hours after 3 to 5 inches of rainfall was observed this evening. * WHERE...Central Elbert County in east central Colorado... * WHEN...Until 300 AM MDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas will continue. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 853 PM MDT, Between 3 to 5 inches of heavy rainfall fell this evening. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to persist in the advisory area for the next several hours. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Comanche Creek, Hay Gulch, Spring Branch, Wilson Creek, East Bijou Creek, Antelope Creek, West Bijou Creek and Middle Bijou Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mainly rural areas of Central Elbert County. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of northeast and east central Colorado, including the following areas; the southern Front Range Foothills, Palmer Divide area, and portions of the northeast and east central plains including Elbert, Lincoln, eastern Adams and Arapahoe, Washington, Morgan, Logan, and northeastern Weld Counties. * WHEN...Until 10 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Thunderstorms with heavy rain, combined with recent rainfall and saturated soils in some locations, will bring a threat of flash flooding into this evening. The greatest threat will be shifting slowly east and northeast across the plains. Stronger storms will be capable of producing 1 to 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes, with local storm totals as high as 3 inches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
