...FLOOD ADVISORY FOR THE UPSTREAM RELEASE OF CHERRY CREEK DAM ON THE CHERRY CREEK IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Annual Cherry Creek Dam sediment flush operation causing higher than normal flows and minor flooding of trails and crossings. * WHERE...Southwestern Denver County in northeastern Colorado along Cherry Creek from the base of Cherry Creek Dam to the confluence with the South Platte River... * WHEN...Until 515 PM MDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Higher than normal creek stages and minor flooding of bike paths and stream crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 856 AM MDT, upstream floodgate releases from 9 am through 2 pm is expected to cause minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
