To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Hot weather and incoming wildfire smoke will allow particulate matter and ozone to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category on Wednesday and Thursday.
