...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Colorado, including the
following counties, Mineral and Rio Grande.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 518 PM MDT, local law enforcement reported rock slides and
flooded roadways in the area with high water impacting Fall
Creek Road where the road is washed out, and Park Creek Road.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Although the heaviest rain has already fallen, additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area
through tonight.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wolf Creek Pass and locations downstream on either side of
the pass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The heavy rains will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris
flows in steep terrain, especially in and around these areas.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

following counties, Conejos, Mineral and Rio Grande.

* WHEN...Until 700 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 401 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Although the heaviest rain has already fallen, additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area
through tonight.  High flows will continue in creeks and
streams and wash outs of forest roads are likely.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Platoro and Cumbres Pass.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Colorado, including the
following areas, Eastern San Juan Mountains Above 10000 Feet and
Upper Rio Grande Valley and Eastern San Juan Mountains Below 10000
Feet.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and isolated embedded thunderstorms will continue to
spread into the eastern San Juan mountains in deep southwest
upslope flow resulting in repeated rounds of moderate to
heavy rain.
