At 351 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hooper, or 21 miles north of Alamosa, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph, half inch hail and brief heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
