FOR SOUTHWESTERN LAS ANIMAS COUNTY...

At 438 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Segundo, or 13
miles southwest of Trinidad, moving southeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Cokedale and Raton Pass.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

PUEBLO COUNTIES...

At 437 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 14 miles northwest
of Delhi, or 38 miles southeast of Pueblo Airport, moving east at 10
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southwestern Otero, north central Las Animas and southeastern Pueblo
Counties.

THROUGH 500 PM MDT...

At 433 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Gulnare, or 14 miles northwest of Trinidad, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Trinidad, Aguilar, Hoehne, Gulnare, and Boncarbo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southwestern Las Animas County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 615 PM MDT.

* At 310 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1
hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Cokedale, Boncarbo and Segundo.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
Lorencito Canyon, Cottonwood Canyon, Colorado Canyon, Burro
Canyon, Wet Canyon, Reilly Canyon, Wolf Canyon, Mulligan Canyon,
Chinamans Canyon, Chicosa Arroyo and Apishapa River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
