...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Local flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of the Santa Monica Mountains in southwest
California between Point Dume and Santa Monica, including the
Palisades Burn Scar and the Franklin Burn Scar.

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 858 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
The Franklin Burn Scar, the Palisades Burn Scar, Malibu,
Encino, Topanga State Park, Pacific Palisades, Malibu Creek
State Park, Brentwood, Interstate 405 through the Sepulveda
Pass, Bel Air, Sherman Oaks, Topanga Canyon Road through the
Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu Canyon and Los Virgenes Roads
through the Santa Monica Mountains and Mandeville Canyon.
