...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 AM PST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...West Central Humboldt County in northwestern California... * Until 1045 AM PST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 644 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...Jacoby Creek, Hookton Slough, Elk River, and Little River. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...HIGH WIND WARNING IS CANCELLED... ...HIGH WIND WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Southeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 85 mph possible. * WHERE...Southern Humboldt. * WHEN...From late tonight through Thursday evening. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward ridges and exposed coastal headlands. There is an increased risk of tree branches and other debris on roadways. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates. For the Storm Watch, south winds 30 to 40 kt with gusts up to 55 kt and seas 16 to 21 feet possible. * WHERE...Cape Mendocino to Pt Arena out 10 nm and Cape Mendocino to Pt Arena 10 to 60 nm. * WHEN...For the Hazardous Seas Warning, until 3 PM PST this afternoon. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Del Norte County, Humboldt County, Trinity County, Mendocino County, and Lake County. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of heavy rain expected through Friday night. An additional 3-6, locally up to 9 inches of total rain is possible through Friday. There will be breaks in the heavy precipitation, but heavy rain falling on already saturated ground will promote flooding impacts. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
