* WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following
county, Riverside.

* WHEN...Until 611 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 519 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Anza, Hwy 74 Between Mountain Center And Anza, Mountain
Center, Hwy 74 Between Anza And Palm Desert, Aguanga,
Cahuilla Indian Reservation, Lake Hemet and Santa Rosa

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM PDT THIS EVENING
FOR RIVERSIDE COUNTY...

At 416 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall
is expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Chiriaco Summit, Cottonwood Visitor, Box Canyon Road, Cottonwood
Campground, BLM Joshua Tree South Campground.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 406 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
