...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 8 to 16
inches for Lake Tahoe communities with 1 to 3 feet above 7,000
feet. Winds gusting as high as 100 mph along the highest ridges
and up to 50 mph in the lower elevations and on Lake Tahoe.

* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM PST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Very strong
winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern California, including the
following counties, in central California, Placer. In northern
California, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Nevada,
Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Solano, Stanislaus, Sutter,
Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 656 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy
rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly
in the advisory area.
- Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast to occur in
the advisory area into Friday, resulting in flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, Elk Grove, Roseville, Citrus
Heights, Tracy, Folsom, Turlock, Rocklin, Ceres, Galt,
Oakdale, Auburn, Grass Valley, Marysville, Placerville,
