...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 836 AM PST THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following county, San Diego. * WHEN...Until 836 AM PST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 638 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, Encinitas, Poway, Ramona, Del Mar, Valley Center, Fallbrook and Camp Pendleton. - https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.25 to 0.75 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
