...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TUESDAY TO 10 AM PST FRIDAY ELEVATIONS ABOVE 4500 FEET IN SISKIYOU COUNTY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 4500 feet in Siskiyou County. Total snow accumulations 1 to 3 feet, except up to 5 feet in the higher remote terrain near 6000 feet. Snow levels will rise to 7000 feet Tuesday, fall to around 5000 feet for Wednesday into early Thursday, then lower to around 3500 to 4000 feet for Thursday night into Friday. Accumulating snow is expected on Snowmans Summit beginning Wednesday night or Thursday. South winds will likely gust as high as 60 mph over high and exposed terrain. Winds will be strongest Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning, and on Thursday. * WHERE...Elevations above 4500 feet in Siskiyou County. This includes Snowmans Summit on state highway 89, Etna Summit on Sawyers Bar Road and Shasta Ski Park. * WHEN...From 4 AM Tuesday to 10 AM PST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult to impossible.
