* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southeastern Marin County in northern California...
Central Napa County in northern California...
Southeastern Sonoma County in northern California...

* Until 715 AM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 413 AM PST, local law enforcement reported heavy rain in the
advisory area. Minor flooding is already occurring. Between 1 and
2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Napa, Petaluma, San Rafael, Novato, Mill Valley, San Anselmo,
Larkspur, Sonoma, Corte Madera, Fairfax, Boyes Hot Springs, Black
Point-Green Point, Lucas Valley-Marinwood, Kentfield, San
Geronimo, Tamalpais-Homestead Valley, Stinson Beach, Muir Beach,
Yountville and Ross.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.

* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Warning, significant coastal
flooding expected due to high astronomical tides and storm
surge. Up to 2.5 ft of inundation above ground level is
possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
waterways during the morning high tide Saturday. For the
Coastal Flood Advisory, up to 2.0 ft inundation is
possible.

* WHERE...Adjacent to the San Francisco and San Pablo Bays.

* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Warning, until 2 PM PST Saturday.
For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 2 PM Saturday to 2 PM PST
Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads will be closed. Low lying property
including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure
will be inundated. Some shoreline erosion will occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At the San Francisco tidal gauge, high
tide is expected to be:
2.5 ft above normal (8.3 ft MLLW) at 10:26 AM Saturday 1/3
1.9 ft above normal (7.7 ft MLLW) at 11:18 AM Sunday 1/4
These predictions include up to 1.3 feet of storm surge that
will enhance the astronomical tide and flooding threat. High
tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along the
Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay, respectively.
