Hills, Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast, Ventura County
Beaches, and Ventura County Inland Coast.

* WHEN...From noon today to 9 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts to 40 kt and combined
seas of 8 to 12 ft expected when conditions are worst. Isolated
gusts to 45 kt are possible in western portions.

* WHERE...Inner waters from Point Mugu to San Mateo Pt. CA
including Santa Catalina and Anacapa Islands.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 3 PM PDT this
afternoon. For the Gale Warning, from 3 PM this afternoon to 3
AM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will create dangerous sea conditions
which could capsize or damage small and large vessels.

High Surf Advisory

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM FRIDAY TO 10 AM PDT
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 4 to 7 feet with local sets to 8
feet and dangerous rip currents. Highest for west-facing
beaches.

* WHERE...Ventura County Beaches, Malibu Coast and Los Angeles
County Beaches.

* WHEN...From 2 PM Friday to 10 AM PDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay
near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in
such conditions, stay off the rocks.
