...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 311 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following county, San Diego. * WHEN...Until 311 PM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 112 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... The remnants of tropical cyclone Mario will bring isolated to scattered thunderstorms today through Thursday night, with the best chance on Thursday. Any storm could briefly produce lightning, gusty erratic winds, and choppy seas. Mariners are urged to monitor this unfolding weather pattern, stay tuned to updates, and prepare to adjust plans accordingly.
