...DENSE FOG TO AFFECT THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE INNER WATERS THIS MORNING... A shallow marine layer depth developing over the coastal waters early this morning will bring areas of dense fog to southern portion of waters inside the southern California bight. Mariners, especially those boating through and across the San Pedro Channel, should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to one nautical mile or less. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other vessels, including large ships in the shipping lanes. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. &&
