...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM PDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern California, including the following
counties, southeastern San Mateo and northwestern Santa Cruz.

* WHEN...Until 715 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 421 PM PDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Scotts Valley, Boulder Creek, Ben Lomond and Felton.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

- At 340 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Francisco, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Bruno,
Pacifica, Burlingame, Millbrae, Hillsborough, El Granada,
Brisbane, Colma, Broadmoor, Montara and Moss Beach.

...A CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE COASTAL WATERS AND BAYS
THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY MORNING....

A deep and cold low pressure system will move southward over the
coastal waters and bays resulting in a 20 to 40 percent chance of
thunderstorms through early Tuesday morning.

Thunderstorms will be capable of producing locally gale force
winds and rough seas, lightning, heavy rainfall with reduced
visibility, small hail and waterspouts.
