Minor coastal flooding from a combination of high surf and high astronomical tides. * WHERE...San Diego County coastal areas and Orange County coastal areas. * WHEN...From 6 AM Saturday morning to 11 PM PDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Predicted tides for La Jolla, CA: Sat, Sep 5 2026: 6.0 feet at 4:48 PM PDT Sun, Sep 6 2026: 6.3 feet at 6:03 PM PDT Mon, Sep 7 2026: 6.7 feet at 7:03 PM PDT Tue, Sep 8 2026: 6.8 feet at 7:54 PM PDT PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. Always swim near a lifeguard. Stay off of sea walls and jetties.
