Most likely during Wednesday evening's high tide. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides this evening at Newport Beach: 6.3 feet at 845 PM. At La Jolla: 6.3 feet at 839 PM. Measured high tides are exceeding predicted levels by 6-7 inches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... High tides could generate flooding of low areas along the shore. &&

For the Heat Advisory, high temperatures around 80 near the coast to the lower to mid 90s for higher coastal terrain. * WHERE...Orange County Coastal Areas and San Diego County Coastal Areas. * WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM PDT Wednesday. For the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM Wednesday to 8 PM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Major to Extreme HeatRisk through Wednesday. Warm overnight low temperature will limit relief from the heat. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
