...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 554 PM PDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following
county, San Diego.

* WHEN...Until 554 PM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water
over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 525 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.

Hwy 78 Between Borrego Springs Rd And Ocotillo Wells, Hwy 78
Between S2 And Borrego Springs Rd, Borrego Springs, Fish
Creek Wash, Hwy S2 Between Agua Caliente And Canebrake,

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

...EXTREME HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH
FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures up to 95
possible.

* WHERE...Orange County Coastal Areas and San Diego County Coastal
Areas.

* WHEN...From Tuesday morning through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Overnight lows around 5 to 7 degrees above
normal will limit relief from the heat, especially for those
without adequate cooling.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
