May cause water to flow across roads to Tyee City. High tides and strong, onshore winds will aggravate flood impacts. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM PST Sunday the stage was 22.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 22.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM PST Sunday was 24.8 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late tonight and to 13.9 feet late tomorrow morning. It will then rise to 14.7 feet tomorrow evening. It will fall to 13.1 feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then rise to 16.7 feet late Wednesday morning. ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MONDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Eel River at Fernbridge. * WHEN...Until Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Minor flooding of Highway 211 to Ferndale south of Fernbridge. Much of the Eel Delta may be flooded, including areas northwest of Loleta and the western portion of Cannibal Island Road. Flooding will be enhanced for longer duration events. A Special Action Advisory is being issued to all owners of livestock in all low-lying areas adjacent to the Eel River. Appropriate action should be taken to protect livestock. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:15 PM PST Sunday the stage was 21.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:15 PM PST Sunday was 21.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 23.6 feet late tonight. ...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring. * WHERE...Southern Humboldt County in northwestern California... * Until 1100 PM PST. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 654 PM PST, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, Garberville, Richardson Grove State Park, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Bridgeville, Weott, Myers Flat, Pepperwood, Dinsmore, Carlotta, Scotia, Alderpoint, Richardson Grove, Ferndale, Shively, Miranda, Blocksburg, Fort Seward and Hydesville. - Hwy 211 near Ferndale is closed along with numerous county roads - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... West Central Trinity County in northwestern California... * Until 1100 PM PST. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 649 PM PST, local law enforcement reported heavy rain in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 2.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... ...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM PST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southwestern Humboldt County in northwestern California... * Until 1100 PM PST. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 644 PM PST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the warned area. The rain has diminished and stream and creeks have generally crested, but remain high. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
