For the Small Craft Advisory, south winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt expected. For the Gale Warning, south winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 35 kt expected. * WHERE...Monterey Bay. * WHEN...For the Dense Fog Advisory, until 9 AM PST this morning. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 9 AM to 3 PM PST Wednesday. For the Gale Warning, from 3 PM to 9 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. ...DENSE FOG ACROSS THE MONTEREY BAY THROUGH 9 AM PST TODAY... Satellite imagery and surface observations show widespread fog and dense fog across the Monterey Bay with visibilities as low as one quarter nautical mile or less. Fog and dense fog will continue through 9 AM PST today. Mariners should expect visibilities from one half to one quarter nautical mile and possibly near zero at times. Reduce speeds and be on the lookout for exposed rocks and other sea vessels. Use radar or GPS navigation if available, and consider remaining in harbor if such equipment is unavailable.
