Eastern Imperial County in southeastern California... * Until 745 PM MST/745 PM PDT/. * At 644 PM MST/644 PM PDT/, a wall of dust was along a line extending from 10 miles southwest of Cibola to 17 miles north of Algodones Dunes to 6 miles north of Andrade to Araby, moving west at 25 mph. HAZARD...Less than two miles visibility with strong wind in excess of 50 mph. SOURCE...Doppler radar. IMPACT...Hazardous travel. * This includes the following highways... AZ Interstate 8 between mile markers 1 and 20. CA Interstate 8 between mile markers 71 and 96. AZ Route 95 between mile markers 29 and 45. Locations impacted include... Yuma, Somerton, Fortuna Foothills, Blaisdell, Cibola, Gordon's Well, Algodones Dunes, Kinter, Andrade, Winterhaven, Araby, and Glamis. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible.
