...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM PST /330 AM MST/ EARLY THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of northwest Arizona, including the following county, Mohave, southern California, including the following county, San Bernardino, and southern Nevada, including the following county, Clark. * WHEN...Until 230 AM PST /330 AM MST/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Overflowing poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1248 AM PST /148 AM MST/, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, Kingman, Laughlin, Yucca, Wikieup, Topock, Needles, Wild Cow Campground, Hualapai Mountain Park, Dw Ranch Road, Blake Ranch Road, New Kingman- Butler, Golden Valley, Valentine, Oatman, Chloride, Burro Creek Campground, Diamond M Ranch and Desert Hills. - This includes the following highways... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. ...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM PST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. Very heavy rains that occurred earlier in the mountains continue resulting in water drainage into the Apple and Lucerne Valleys, causing the potential of flooding to continue into the overnight hours, even where it is not raining. * WHERE...A portion of Southwest California, including the following areas, Apple and Lucerne Valleys, Coachella Valley, Orange County Coastal Areas, Orange County Inland Areas, Riverside County Mountains, San Bernardino County Mountains, San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys-The Inland Empire, San Gorgonio Pass near Banning and Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills. * WHEN...Until 6 AM PST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations occurred earlier in the day, and will still continue to be possible throughout the night due to the excessive rainfall taking longer to work through the local drainage systems within urban areas. Additional rainfall overnight may also worsen the threat of this. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several structures are flooded in Wrightwood, due to recent heavy rainfalls which occurred earlier, with some areas receiving close to a foot of total rainfall.
