...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Western Alameda, western Contra Costa and north central
Santa Clara counties.

* WHEN...Until 300 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1233 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This is
causing urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor
drainage areas have already caused minor flooding in the
advisory area. Between 0.8 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Jose, Oakland, Fremont, Hayward, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara,
Berkeley, Richmond, San Leandro, Mountain View, Alameda,
Union City, Milpitas, Palo Alto, Dublin, Newark, Menlo Park,
San Pablo, Lafayette and El Cerrito.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

* WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
rough waters.

* WHERE...San Pablo Bay, Suisun Bay, the West Delta and the San
Francisco Bay north of the Bay Bridge.

* WHEN...Until 3 PM PST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
