...EXTREME HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 110 to 114 degrees possible with overnight lows in the upper 80s to low 90s. * WHERE...Coachella Valley, San Diego County Deserts, and San Gorgonio Pass near Banning. * WHEN...From Thursday morning through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There is some uncertainty in high temperatures with the return of monsoon moisture. However, warm nights with lows in the upper 80s to low 90s will offer little relief even if daytime highs are lower due to moisture. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles.
