...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of central California, including the following areas, Fresno-Tulare Lower Sierra, Kern River Valley, Mariposa-Madera Lower Sierra, Piute Walker Basin, San Joaquin River Canyon, South End of the Lower Sierra, Yosemite Valley and recent burn scars including the Garnet, Borel, Basin, French and Coffee Pot burn scars. * WHEN...From 5 PM PDT this afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Excessive rainfall over burn scars may also result in flooding and debris flows. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall rates of 0.20 to 0.40 inches per hour are expected during this time, along with localized heavier rain rates due to thunderstorms, that may reach the burn scar debris flow thresholds. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
