East Central Los Angeles County in southwestern California... * Until 500 AM PST. * At 328 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling over the southwestern portion of the Bridge burn scar. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 0.75 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Debris flows caused by heavy rain in and around the Bridge Burn Scar. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Mud, rock, and debris flows will impact drainages, roads, and residences in and directly below the burn area. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Heaton Flat, Coyote Flat, and the East Fork of the San Gabriel River. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flash Flood Warning for a recent burn area means that flooding and debris flows are imminent or occurring. Residents living in or immediately downstream should take immediate precautions to protect life and property. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 216 AM PST, Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Minor mud and debris flow will be possible across recent burn scars. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pasadena, Duarte, Azusa, Monrovia, Claremont, Mount Wilson, Alhambra, El Monte, Montebello, West Covina, Pomona, Diamond Bar, Walnut, La Puente, Rowland Heights, and East Los Angeles. - Minor debris flows may be occurring or about to occur in and around the recent burn scars, such as the Eaton, Bridge, Palisades burn scars. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
