...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Hot conditions with maximum temperatures in the mid-90s to
near 105. Mild minimum temperatures and weak onshore flow will
limit overnight relief.

* WHERE...The East Bay and San Francisco Bay Shoreline, North Bay
Interior Mountains and Valleys, The Santa Clara Valley and Eastern
Hills, The Santa Cruz Mountains, Interior Monterey County and the
Santa Lucia Range, Most of San Benito County and the Cholame Hills
in Southeast Monterey County, and Southern Salinas Valley/Arroyo
Seco and Lake San Antonio.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...For the Heat Advisory, this level of heat affects anyone
without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration. Impacts likely
in some health systems, heat-sensitive industries and
infrastructure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Hydration is a critical piece to surviving the heat. Drink water, and
if possible, take water to those who are vulnerable.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to the early

Coastal Flood Advisory
Issued: 6:55 AM Oct. 6, 2026 – National Weather Service
...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM PDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Up to 0.8 ft of inundation above ground level is
possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.

* WHERE...Bayshore locations along the San Pablo Bay.

* WHEN...Until 1 PM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...High tides will result in flooding of low-lying
infrastructure, isolated road closures, and coastal erosion.
Rising tides will bring water and waves farther up the beach
than normal, restricting escape from beaches and coastal areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At the San Francisco tidal gauge, high tide
is expected to be 0.6 ft above normal (6.48 ft MLLW) at 8:58 PM
Tuesday 10/6, 0.6 ft above normal (6.44 ft MLLW) at 10:19 AM
Wednesday 10/7, and 0.8 ft above normal (6.68 ft MLLW) at 10:51
AM Thursday 10/8. These predictions include up to 0.9 ft of
surge that will enhance the astronomical tide and flooding
threat. High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along
the Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay,
respectively.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.
