...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 1 PM PST THURSDAY... * WHAT...High astronomical tides and large surf will cause minor flooding along the coast of Del Norte county. Up to one half foot of saltwater inundation above ground level is possible near shorelines and tidal waterways. Between 8.8 and 9.0 feet of above MLLW at the Crescent City Tide gauge is predicted. * WHERE...Coastal Del Norte County. * WHEN...From 10 AM to 1 PM PST Thursday. High tide is at 11:05 AM at the Crescent City Tide gage. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1 to 2 hours before and after high tide. * IMPACTS...The combination of high tides and large surf may allow some waves to wash onto dry land possibly over Pebble Beach rd and Anchor Way. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
