...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST FRIDAY
ABOVE 4000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow above 4000 feet. Total snow accumulations between
1 to 3 feet. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Trinity County.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Tire chains
may be necessary if travelling through mountain passes. Strong
winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the
state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

Persons should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Del Norte County, Humboldt County, Trinity County,
Mendocino County, and Lake County.

* WHEN...Through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are
running high and could flood with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Additional rounds of heavy rain expected through Friday night. An
additional 3-6, locally up to 9 inches of total rain is possible
through Friday. There will be breaks in the heavy precipitation,
but heavy rain falling on already saturated ground will promote
flooding impacts.
