* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southwestern Humboldt County in northwestern California...

* WHEN...Until 800 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated. There will
be an increased risk of rock and land slides along roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 532 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Rapid river rises will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Between 5 and 7 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Honeydew, Shelter Cove, Petrolia, Whitehorn, Ettersburg and
Briceland.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.

* WHERE...West Central Humboldt County in northwestern California...

* WHEN...Until 715 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall. It will take several hours for
all the water from these storms to work through local drainage
systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 531 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area.
Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the
warned area. Small streams and rivers such as the Elk River have
just started to fall and will continue over the next couple of
hours.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include Sunny Brae,
the Elk River Basin, Hookton Slough, and urban areas around
Eureka.

* WHERE...Northwestern Humboldt County in northwestern California...

* WHEN...Until 700 PM PST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect
many areas of slow moving or standing water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 512 PM PST, local law enforcement reported flooding in the
warned area. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 4
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are possible in the
warned area. Small streams and rivers are currently cresting and
will most likely begin to fall within the next couple of hours.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include Bayside,
Jacoby Creek, and Indianola.

Overflowing poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other
areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 510 PM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory
area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
Small streams are currently cresting and will most likely begin
to fall over the next couple of hours.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Eureka, Arcata, Orick, Fortuna, Rio Dell, Trinidad,
McKinleyville, Westhaven-Moonstone, Carlotta, Scotia, Ferndale,

River Flood Warning

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING TO WEDNESDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Eel River at Fernbridge.

* WHEN...From this evening to Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, The western half of the Eel Delta may be
completely flooded, especially if at or above this level for an
extended period of time. This includes areas northwest of Loleta
and Cannibal Island Road. A Special Action Advisory is being issued
to all owners of livestock in low-lying areas of the Eel River
Delta. Owners of livestock should take appropriate action to
protect their animals.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:15 PM PST Tuesday the stage was 13.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 21.9 feet late tonight. It will then
fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.9
feet on 03/18/1975.

Interior, Southern Humboldt Interior, Southern Trinity and
Southwestern Humboldt.
