...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT PDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by heavy rain and
thunderstorms continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central and northern California, including the
following counties, Placer, Amador, Butte, El Dorado, Nevada,
Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba.

* WHEN...Until midnight PDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and creeks. Ponding of water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 843 PM PDT, local law enforcement reported roadway
flooding in the advisory area due to heavy rain and
thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream
flooding. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen over
the past 6 hours.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sacramento, Elk Grove, Roseville, Citrus Heights, Folsom,
Rocklin, Galt, Auburn, Grass Valley, Marysville, Placerville,
Fair Oaks, El Dorado Hills, Carmichael, Cameron Park, Yuba
City, Rancho Cordova, West Sacramento, Lincoln and Lake Of
The Pines.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
