...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PST THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...West Central Humboldt County in northwestern California... * Until 800 PM PST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 133 PM PST, Local officials reported small stream flooding in the advisory area on Highway 36 near Carlotta and in the Ferndale area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches with up to 0.6 inch per hour rainfall rates are expected over the area. ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Del Norte County, Humboldt County, Trinity County, Mendocino County, and Lake County. * WHEN...Through Friday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rounds of heavy rain expected through Friday night. An additional 3-6, locally up to 9 inches of total rain is possible through Friday.
